astors who wish to establish their own local church Bible institute can
purchase the GCBI curriculum and establish a charter school. GCBI offers
three options for the charter school program, all utilizing our Graduate of
Theology three year curriculum. Some of our courses are in book form and
will have to be purchased separately from the GCBI bookstore as required
for each student under options 1 and 3.
nder this option, the church purchases one set of materials and duplicates the
Study Guides and tapes. The local supervisor (pastor or pastor designate)
is responsible for distributing materials, grading Study Guides, recording
student grades, and supervising study. Upon completion of each UNIT by
each student, the supervisor supplies GCBI with student grades which are
kept on file at GCBI. Upon completion of the program, GCBI sends the
degree to the supervisor for local graduation, with the local pastor presenting
the degree to the student. Optionally, locally supervised students are
permitted to attend the annual GCBI Graduation if they so desire. We also
offer the option of having a GCBI representative (an ordained preacher),
attend the local church graduation to hand out the degrees if the pastor so
desires. Students would be GCBI alumni, qualifying for transcription
services.

Charter School
nder this option, the church purchases the curriculum and uses it within that
church ministry as desired. Tapes and Study Guides may be duplicated
within that ministry only. Score keys are supplied and must be protected
from compromise. Books will have to be purchased from the GCBI
Bookstore as needed. Degrees are issued under the name of the local
school. Graduates would not be considered graduates of GCBI. This
option offers the greatest flexibility for the pastor desiring to start a Bible
institute in his church.
nder this option, the church purchases one set of materials and teaches the
material in lecture form to the students. The students would be tested by
local testing methods and the grades sent to GCBI to be filed. Upon
completion of the course of study GCBI sends the degrees to the pastor to
be presented to the graduates. As with option 1 the students may attend the
GCBI Graduation if they desire and qualify for transcription services. A
GCBI representative is also available.
