GENERAL:
1. What denominational affiliation does GCBI have?
GCBI is a ministry of Gulf Coast Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We are independent,
fundamental, separated, AV1611, Baptists.
2. Does GCBI offer resident or online internet classes?
GCBI is strictly a correspondence school. We no longer offer local classes in Florida. We are not
currently offering classes online.
3. Are course descriptions available for GCBI courses?
The course titles are self explanatory. GCBI has never seen a need to provide lengthy detailed
descriptions of our courses.
4. Is GCBI accredited?
GCBI is not accredited by any accrediting agency. We know of no agency that holds the King James
Bible as the Final Authority. Therefore we have no agency that can approve our methods or our idealogy. |

ACADEMIC:
1. Is the entire UNIT mailed in a single packet or is it mailed in separate mailings?
GCBI UNITs are mailed as a complete UNIT. Everything for that UNIT is in a single package.
2. Are there any restrictions on students working ahead and completing UNITs early, thus graduating
sooner?
No. GCBI allows students who are motivated to work ahead and complete their studies early.
3. What if some of the materials in a UNIT are damaged or bad? What should a student do?
If a student receives bad tapes or something else that was not damaged by the Postal Service he should
notify GCBI and return the bad items for replacement at no cost. UNITs damaged by the Postal Service are the responsibility of the student.
4. How much time is required to complete an average UNIT?
There are several factors that affect the time it takes a student to complete a UNIT. UNITs vary in
length and content. As a general guide, an average student working on an average lengthed UNIT will require about 5 to 10 hours of study a week for the duration of the quarter. Students in the 4N3 program will require 8 to 12 hours of study per week. |
|
FINANCIAL:
1. Does GCBI offer any payment plans?
GCBI adopts a pay-as-you-go system for tuition. UNITs of material are sent when the student pays
the tuition for that UNIT.
2. Are there any other costs to the student other than tuition?
Tuition covers EVERYTHING needed by the student for his UNIT. The only other cost to the student
is his diploma fee. |

ENROLLMENT:
1. Can perspective students enroll any time?
Yes. Students who enroll in the middle of a calendar quarter are considered enrolled in the next full
quarter. For example, if a student enrolls on March 1st, the student will be considered enrolled in the second quarter (April - June). Thus, the student will have an extra month to complete his UNIT.
2. I have a Bachelor of Science degree. Does this qualify me to enroll in your Masters program?
No. GCBI only accepts academic credit from Christian institutions of higher learning that are of like
faith. We accept NO degrees or credits from secular institutions for the very same reason they would likely NOT accept credit from our school. We are a BIBLE school and only accept credits that are Bible related.
3. Are women permitted to enroll at GCBI? What courses are offered to them?
GCBI permits women to enroll provided they are not enrolling as a ministerial student. GCBI will not
permit any women to enroll that is looking to be a pastor, evangelist, teacher or working towards any other position that places her in authority over a man. Ladies who enroll will not be allowed to take Preaching Techniques I or II. They will be given alternative courses instead.
4. Does GCBI have a hard copy catalog available to perspective students?
Yes. GCBI does offer a catalog that can be mailed to perspective students. Students should be aware
that ALL information found in the catalog is also on our website. |
